But I just cant pull the trigger. The Seiko name holds me back from dropping 4kUSD on this, regardless of its technical superiority and great aesthetics.

Kind or a deep sea knock-off look. Nice, but Seiko, really?

Sorry Altair, but I've gotta agree with Boney on this one. If anything attracts the comment, "A *something* knock-off", it immediately puts me off, and I think it's way too "Deepsea" for my liking.

And that price tag is a bit to hefty for a Seiko.

Well, its been around since before the Deepsea for quite some time. So I never thought about it as a Deepsea knockoff.

You need to see one in the flesh to apreciate how well made it is, plus its perfectely sized at 46MM for me. I always thought it fully deserves the 4K price, but its the mental block that keeps me from pulling the trigger.

I believe it is called the Marinemaster, and has been around for a while with earlier models having the same look but without the spring drive or power reserve meter.

The name is really putting me off too at that price. It's also unusual to have a perpetual calendar that only shows the date :?:
