I called my AD and reserves the new Freak X as soon as it was announced. The price point finally made it feasible to acquire a technology I had always admired. Then I saw it in person yesterday...

The finishing was Bell @ Ross, the size was diminutive, wore smaller than its 43 mm size, and for a sport watch that was underwhelming. It was the definition of meh!

I guess I will have to keep my eyes open for a used Freak Vision....

Interesting observation about the size, Altair. I, too, have been interested in the Freak X (the Silicium dial has really caught my eye), and, in renderings, the size looks fine.

I went back and took a look at the renderings on the UN website after reading your comments. It does appear as if there may be around 3mm between the edge of the case and the start of the dial, which would put the dial itself at around 39mm (you would know better, since you actually had the chance to try one on). Offhand, that strikes me as too small in terms of displaying the very cool features associated with the new movement.

All that being said, the Freak X looks quite nice on your wrist in the photo you have posted.

Hmmmm.... Looking forward to finally seeing this one in the metal one of these days.
