Post subject:  Wolf winder 4.0 review

I received this winder and unpacked it to ready for use.

Packaging was alright but the unit itself was not as hefty or as quiet as i had been led to believe. It is programmable but not to the degree that I would have expected for the large price tag...$500. And it's still made in China.

You can program 300,600,900 rotations in either or both directions and can set a delay of 10sec., 24hr, or 72hr. I believed that it could be set to run during a set time and then sleep, but there is no clock or timer on it, just rotation direction, rotation number and delay.

ran it with my Cosmonaute and unless I was careful the watch would hit the glass front. It is possible to run without doing this but takes a bit to set up the watch properly. Once again I would expect for a unit like this that there would be no issues of this sort. I couldn't run it with my CA or Seawolf without having to remove the glass front altogether. The watches do fit snugly in the various pillows provided.

it's also louder than expected.

I expected a much better product that would distinguish itself from other winders, but it does not. In the end I think I'd be much better off with something else. I don't have anything that takes too long to reset, so it's not a big problem to not have a winder.

I'll be sending this unit back.
