Post subject:  looking for ideas on a ladies watch

I have been thinking about getting my wife a "knock around" watch and would like some suggestions. She wears her Starliner every day (mostly) but expressed an interest in getting a plainer, less expensive watch for dress down days. Any suggestions?

Criteria:

Small, perferably 38mm or smaller case (we tried on a 38mm Monty and thats as big as it could go on her dainty wrist.
Brushed bracelet SS or rubber strap or possibly leather.. no gold no polished
dont need a Chrono
doesnt care about either way on Auto, manual or Quartz
I prefer a SUPER bargain on this watch. She will not wear it that often. And I will probally try to arrange the black Montbrillant next year.

Shout out some options. Anyone have anything good or bad regarding Daniel JeanRichard? They have a few nice looking ladies watches and they are Autos. adn more importantly the right model can be had online CHEAP! Heck I even have played around at getting thier TV Screen Retrograde model!

Thanks

Scott

I've handled the Jean Richards and they seem OK build wise, not many of the designs do it for me, and I can't comment on long term quality.

In a similar position earlier in the year I bought my wife a SOH38 - not sure whether that is too much for the $$ criteria - but she likes it.
