Might as well start a new thread for all the releases from Basel that aren't Breitling related. H o d i n k e e just posted a picture of the new Tudor Black Bay chrono on their instagram account. I'm not a huge fan of it myself. New Black Bay Chrono It does come with an in house chrono movement but I'm not sure about the snowflake hand on a chrono dial. The $5K price point isn't bad but it doesn't seem to be getting many positive reviews. I know this watch was posted over on the rolex forums yesterday and many shared the same views as I do. |

I think it's OK at best. The Good - In-house chronograph movement (with a date, and a decent date window position!), 41mm case..... The Less Good - The tachymetre bezel is a very strange choice on a dive chronograph, which the hour markers, hands, and the fact it's a Black Bay model seems to indicate. It's almost like they purposefully want it to go head to head with the Daytona....for around half the price....and with a date. ![]() Also (and it didn't bother me initially, but I've since seen a couple more pictures that have totally changed my mind) while I usually love the snowflake hands on Tudors, the hour hand almost completely obscures the sub-dials at certain times. Not a good design at all. On balance I'd have much rather seen this movement go in the Heritage Chrono line instead. |

That tachymeter bezel destroys the watch. No thanks. Too bad because that 45 minute in house chronograph movement is quite interesting. I'll keep my pelagos! Mat |

I don't hate this though. Still prefer the Black version. http://timeandtidewatches.com/introduci ... -hot-date/ Mat |

I'm loving those vintage style Omegas, and I also really like the new Racing Speedie as well - https://www.omegawatches.com/watches/ba ... er-racing/ Apparently, they've also slimmed down the sapphire to make them a little thinner to wear...which is a great move from Omega as recently their watches have been a little like wearing a breeze-block on your wrist. So that's a few good ones from the Big O................, BUT this thing is absolutely awful looking - https://www.omegawatches.com/watches/ba ... n-bigblue/ |

The new Tudors are up on their website. https://www.tudorwatch.com/ Looks like they've expanded the black bay line to include a 2 tone model, a 41mm version with a steel bezel and date, and they now offer the style of the 36mm version in 41mm with the smooth bezel. The 41mm steel bezel looks interesting to me and really for the price, I don't think you can go wrong. My only concern would be how the bezel would hold up over time. |

I don't really care for the fake patina lume so the Omega trilogy doesn't interest me. The 300 is nothing new, and the Railmaster looks like the same watch without the outer bezel (quite ugly actually). Speedmaster 60th is nice looking. Speedmaster Racing with the orange hands is cool looking but the size is still probably a little large. Like the look of the Tudor diver... http://timeandtidewatches.com/introduci ... -hot-date/ But that slab case is still not attractive to me, reminds me of a Helson. I wish Tudor would redesign their cases, less slab-like, more lug definition and put a little curvature (downward) into them. So far I'm not spending any money, ![]() |

I like the new dials on the Speedmaster racing but would prefer these on bracelets. I like the white dial but the thickness is still a concern for me. I've tried on the version with the 9300 movement in it and it didn't feel too bad, but hopefully the newer versions will be more comfortable. I really like the new Patek white gold Aqaunaut with the blue dial but it's a watch I'll never own due to the price. |
