Can any of you confirm this is genuine? ![]() I know it is a Breitling forum but we also have true watch lovers so I was hoping one of you would be able to advise. I was told it is a 2005 Regards Martin |

It appears to be, but Im not as familiar with the date just models as I am with the oyster professional series. The bracelet and dial look genuine, is it an all stainless steel model? |

Then I would say its genuine, as the stainless steel models have smooth bezels. Also, the magnified date looks correct as well. |

Take a picture of the back, remove the bracelet and see if there is an engraved serial number @ 6. Those would be the easiest ways to tell if its fake. From that pic it looks real though, and its not a model of which there are a lot of fakes of. |

I've owned two Datejusts, so I'm fairly familiar with them. From the picture it certainly looks genuine. All the details on the dial look first-rate, the Oyster bracelet looks like the real McCoy, so does the case. If you can, slowly unscrew the winding crown, then screw it back snug. If it operates as smooth as silk, without snagging, the watch is almost certainly real. But if you have trouble screwing it back in, or if there's a "gritty" feel when you turn the crown, then I'd think twice about buying it. Steve |
