And did you think any different about the watch afterwards (if you have only saw the watch online previously)?

I can honestly say ive only ever seen a Luxury watch on somebodys wrist once, a Rolex GMT Master II Ceramic Black/Blue "Batman".

Thats a watch that wish was 1. Less expensive (i cant see spending Rolex prices on a watch anyways), and 2. Bigger (ive found my "comfort zone" is watches around 43-45.5mm and even the thickness of my Avenger II Seawolf doesnt bother me) as the Blue Ceramic looks amazing to me.

Anybody else feel this way about something Rolex does (liking something innovative and different about a watch, but due to price and small size realizing you would never own the watch?)

Recently I shared a lift at Heathrow airport with a pilot who was wearing a Navitimer, he just looked the part. Made me want a Navitimer for a few days. From the lift I went to a cafe where a cool dude was wearing a Panerai Luminor, he looked the part, designer clothes with the labels on the outside. He had dyed brown hair that matched his watch strap. I didn't feel the need to buy a Panerai.....

Lol, nothing could ever make me want a Panerai.

I was in urgent care last week and my doctor had on a Breitling chronomat black eye blue, I told him I was a huge Breitling fan and he noticed I had on my NAVITIMER GMT and asked me to try it on, he loved it. I own a retail jewelry store and once in a great while someone will come in wearing a luxury watch, not to often, I see more $40 watches.

Not so much, mostly when traveling. And I'm usually looking at what watch people wear.
A couple of weeks ago when flying to Finland, the guy in the seat next to me on the plane was wearing a silver dial Navi World; some time ago an IT consultant I was working with in UK was wearing a Panerai, the owner of a former company I worked in wore sometimes a JLC (and I have to confess, it went just fine with his Aston Martin Vantage :) ).

I see quite a lot of fakes / imitation watches though. Easy to spot as most people wearing them are dressed in obvious fake designer clothes and with a big "golden" Rolex or Omega not-even-close-look-alike.

I once saw a Rolex sub with a green dial on a fellow's wrist at a conference in Vancouver. Most of the time though I respect people's personal space and also I try not to stare, plus it doesn't help that I'm far-sighted and it would look really obvious if I whipped out my glasses! So on those rare times when I think someone might be wearing something cool, I just can't tell for certain. Tonight is a good example of how close I usually get to seeing a luxury watch on someone's wrist - I leaned over to my wife and said "I think Bruce Willis was wearing a Breitling Chronomat in that scene."

There are more Rolls Royces and Rolexes per capita in this town than anywhere else in the world.
The Rolls Royce owner wears a solid gold one and his chauffeur, wears a stainless steel one.
Curious what percentage of what you see out on the streets are fake, the Rolexes not the Rolls Royces :-)

Lived in abu dhabi for couple years and now i am in singapore. I see lot of luxury watches here. Just back from grocery and waiting to pay I have seen dozen of rolexes and at least 3 AP. (I am wis so look on people wrists sometimes).
Suprisingly I dont see many breitlings in Asia. Maybe because they are bigger and people here a smaller than in Europe.

Living in the Florida keys and spending a lot of time in Miami I have seen a lot of Rolexes. I see at least 4-7 a day. I usually see 1 or 2 breitlings and about the same Tags. Besides that, I only see omegas, AP and PP on rare occasions.

I have seen many luxury watches, but I just can not say whether they are fake or not. Last time I was choosing a gift for my girlfriend, I saw an interesting watch on some man. I had not seen it before, so I asked him about. He wore a Vostok Komandirskie, I really liked the design of this watches and their quality. I have ordered one for me too. Generally, I have seen some watch like Patek Philippe, but I do not remember the exact model.

I have a distant relative who I spied wearing a Hublot Big Bang, the gold thing with a black strap. It was clearly a fake though he told me it cost him £15,000. I suspect the container form China that transported it to him had a few more of them on board. The cross head screws on the bezel gave it away for me.............
