anybody bought the latest wristwatch annual 09? i've just purchased it from amazon (£13) and have to say it is an excellent read with plenty of amazing watches from all the manufacturers worth their salt. From Hautlence to Hublot, Mille to Muller, it showcases the finest swiss manufactuers and has pictures/details of (most) of the watches in their latest collection as well as a bio on each manufacturer. well worth the money but it will seriously test your contentment with your current collection. |

i haven't got the 08 so I can't compared but i was interested in picking it up for reference. i can't see that there is all that much change but undoubtedly there will be some manufacturers that aren't featured in one and are in the other. |

OK so mine came in and it is definitely watch porn! 
That said there are a couple of issues I see with the Breitling section just by skimming through it. 1. The Emergency Mission is a picture of the previous generation. 2. The Superocean Heritage 46 is listed as a 38mm diameter. 
These aren't huge deals but if I can spot these in less than a minute it makes me think about what other errors might be made on watches I know a great deal less about. Follow? FML |

Mine just arrived today...great read and terrific pics!! I don't have the 2008 version, but I did thumb through it last summer, so I would say they are similar. Pretty awesome overview of the watch industry though. |

I used to purchase the latest issue every year. I stopped after the 2006 issue as I realized that the articles were pretty consistent year after year. So as my last issue was 2006 I bought and received one from Amazon a couple of weeks ago. The first thing I noticed was the number of new watch manufacturers, and movement manufacturers. Second, as for Breitling, why not show the Cosmonaute? Also no quartz models? A lot of the text for many of the brands show little or no change year after year unless there was a major new model, movement, or ownership change. The most notable interest was in the fact of the number of manufacturers having, or in the process of developing their own 'in house' movements. So for me, about once every three or four years is ample enough. |
