500M Chrono

I am absolutely loving this watch. It has the Valjoux 7750 style movement, Calibre 16 and it is keeping time within +/-3 seconds per day. Not too shabby.
I bought it new at an AD and am psyched to have this beauty on my wrist. It is one of those watches that is much more beautiful in person than online.

I went into the store intending to buy the Carrera, but they changed some things on it since the last time I tried one on and I do not like what they changed.
Then I saw the Aquaracer and everything was blissful again. Haha...

Great looking watch. Learned something recently about Tag. I received a nicely engraved Tag Chronometer watch as a gift when I crossed the 10yr line at my company. I wore it often over the next 15 years and several battery changes but no official refurbs or any serious maintenance by Tag. My wife said it was time for a new watch and took matters into her own hands and bought one for me recently as an anniversary gift. Anyway, I had a sentimental attachment to that Tag so I went on line got the info for sending it back for a body and engine rebuild. It was pretty "beat up" but still ran well and kept accurate time. The case, pushers, stem and bracelet looked like they barely survived Hiroshima. I sent it in. Tag emailed me an estimate of $340 to completely refurbish the watch and band. A new Tag of a comparable model would be a couple thousand or more at least so I pulled the trigger. Six weeks later they returned the watch looking and running almost as new except for the engraved back which they reinstalled intact. The case and stem were replace with new parts for that price, internals checked out adjusted and tuned, scratches removed from the bracelet new battery, etc. Given the ransom paid for occasional maintenance on a Rolex or Omega it was a very reasonable price. Kudos to Tag for standing behind their products and keeping them working well and looking good.
