Hello All

This is only my second post so I apologise if I have put this in the wrong place (or indeed, if I am in breach of any forum rules, the watch in question not being a Breitling) but I am looking for assistance on whether a Gallet I have seen on ebay is correct. I note that some forum members' knowledge stretches beyond Breitling and therefore thought I would ask:

If I am knocking on the wrong door, does anyone know where I could get some good advice on this Gallet please?

Many thanks

Ben

I think it's ok. I'd just point out that it's quite small, and the case is plated.

There is a Gallet specific group on Facebook if you want to post there.

Buddman, thank you very much for your comments on the watch.

I have two further questions arising from your comments. You say the watch is plated. With apologies for my ignorance, does this mean that it is not stainless steel, as the caseback in the pictures suggests? Is a plated watch a bad thing?

Regarding your advice on the FB Gallet group, I'm not on FB, but will now probably put a similar post on the TimeZone Vintage Forum.

Thanks again

Ben

Plated watches are generally less desirable than fully solid cases, ie stainless, gold, etc. I guess primarily because it's doesn't last forever and because some people would regard it as "fake". In breitling terms, an all street navitimer would generally sell for more that the gold plated version.
