Was in Chicago a couple of weekends back. Hit up the Omega Boutique on Michigan Ave - just because no real interest. Actually lots of interest just not really thinking I would/could/should buy. Super nice staff. Kind of small shop. Nothing of any historical interest just new pieces. For sure worth a trip up the street if you are there but no real reason to alter your schedule if you are not in the neighborhood.

I tried on a Dark Side of the Moon, Grey Side of the Moon and Aqua Terra GMT. Dark side is a really nice piece IMO. It looks great and feels great. The Grey Side was the wife's favorite and I must say it really pops. Hard to really pick a winner over those two. With unlimited funds both might be needed. I wanted to like the dark side more, but I'm really not sure I did. The AT was the real winner in my book. It really sat nicely on my wrist, love the 24 hour markers being odd numbered and the bracelet was killer. All had display backs like I think most of the new Omega in house movements do.

The more Omegas I look at and try on the more I like the brand.

Yes I agree. GSOTM is one of my favourites. I recently went over to the dark side & bought a Speedy 4. It's a wonderful watch with a modded lemania movement (omega cal 1040). Designs like this must have been inspirational for the period. Take a look at the speedy mk3 dial & the flight master simplicity.
Truly, they are understated watches, visually a cut above there contemporaries & great value. You could do a lot worse.

I love the GSOTM. Does anyone know or think that there will eventually be a bracelet offering of that model?

Ceramic bracelets for D/W/G/SOTM? That would likely freshen up the model and keep interest high. There are some makes with them already.

There maybe, as at least the buckle has got to that point. Can only imagine trying to match the ceramic case to a similar link finish. Jot sure where they would go if it were a bracelet.

Judging by the posts on omega fora (and having little experience with it) I can only say that there seems a bias away from speedies on bracelets. Might be my impression only but anything other than seems to be the go.
