From the most basic date complication to the finest ones such as minute repeater, what is your favorite complication and why? For me it has always been the chronograph. Not ony it is useful for my daily life, it is the only complication that gives me the excuse to keep "playing with it", instead of complications like date that after you set it, you just need to let it run by itself. The part I love most is when I press the reset pusher and watch the hands flip back to zero in a split sec. Makes me feel like I am owning more than just a watch. |

On a mechanical, a GMT hand - simple but hugely useful. (And on a quartz, honourable mention for the quick change on the Aerospace - at the daylight saving flick the crown and watch the hands move back / fwd one hour, always love that.) |

While I like pretty much love all complications as mechanical watches never cease to amaze me in terms of what a few wheels and springs can achieve, the one that is the most useful to me (and therefore by extension my favourite) is the simple date wheel! I've got a few watches that don't have a date complication and it's only when I'm wearing one of those that I realise there isn't a day that goes by where I don't need to look up the date for something. |

I'm with you Chronomat. Chronograph function. Everything else is unimportant to me. QP, day date, etc. Just a good break up of time suits me, 2 or 3 or even 4 sub dials.  ️️Cheers. |

I would say that that date function is my favorite and most useful. Love chronos for the look though. |

Love the Chronograph function. I use it many 3 times per day. Unfortunately I've have had 3 Brand New Chronospace watches where the Chronograph failed after about 3 weeks in each case. I am actually considering a Watch without Chronograph. Just to simplify the movement and not risk failure again Ling ling |

My favorite on existing watches I have is the mechanic alarm on the JLC MC EWA. My favorite all time is the minute repeater and I deeply regret that I sold a pocketwatch with this complication 10 years ago... |

My favorite complications are the Rattrapante, and minute repeater. The most useful complications (but not necessarily my favorites) are the date wheel, Chrono, and GMT-hand in that order. I am absolutely fascinated by watch complications, particularly given they are in such a small package. The date. Some say a seconds hand is a complication too. In that case, the date and seconds hand. There's nothing better than big a sweeping hand to let you know the watch is running. |
