All,

I was hoping that I could find some help here regarding a watch that I just received from my father. It was purchased by my grandfather in British West Africa (Ivory Coast now I believe) during WWII. I'm guessing he purchased it sometime between 1943-1945. Is there a good forum to go to so that I can see if this watch is authentic? I'm planning on taking it to my jeweler when I have the time, but wanted to see if there was some research I could do now. I'll try to post some pictures shortly.

The strap is obviously not original and was purchased by my father in the 50s.
