Could anyone tell me if the omega seamaster mod. 2265 has the sweeping second hand. |

That should be Quartz model, so it hasn't. |

I have a seamaster automatic (mid size) and it has a lovely sweeping hand ![]() |

I may have to pay a visit to a dealer to have a look for myself as model 2221 which is also quartz has the sweeping hand. I can get the 2265 for a very good price and I prefer the sweeping hand . Thanks for your help, I shall find out tomorrow. |

I'm 100% certain that no current Omega quartz movement has a sweep hand. I've owned 3 Seamasters (2 quartz and 1 auto) and the quartz models did not have sweeping hands. Seiko make a quartz sweeping-hand movement - Spring Drive - but it is very expensive. The other fairly well known example is Accutron although those are vintage models from the 60's / 70's. But as always, if someone knows better I'm prepared to be proved wrong about the Omega! ![]() ![]() |
