Take a look at this wierd watch winder and comment about it. Very different. The last part of the "cycle" is what kinda scares me. That and I dont think there is a rest period.

Interesting movement. The "swinging" part of the cycle is actually very similar to that used by the Orbita Sparta models, although they swing in the more traditional rotary manner. I don't think this would cause any damage or anything as your wrist can swing quite suddenly when you are wearing a watch, but I do wonder how efficiently this winder would wind the movement. :? Rolling end-over-end seems like a bit of an odd plane to move in.

And you're right when you say it could ideally do with a rest period, so that was a good spot by yourself there, Bronco. Of course you could just switch it off once in a while.

I'm almost tempted to buy one to see if it works! Bit of an expensive experiment though! :wink:

It also originates in Hong Kong, so may well have a chinese motor. That not only explains the lack of a rest period, it brings into question what it will be doing in 6 months.
