Post subject:  Tudor Heritage Chrono Blue
While I have no need for another watch any time in the near future, I keep coming back and looking at threads with this watch, the Tudor Heritage Chrono blue. I don't know if it's just to satisfy my desire to own one vintage/retro looking piece or what, but I'm having a hard time trying to justify not picking one up.

I'd love to hear everyone's opinions on this watch, good or bad. I've only seen it once and never had the chance to try it on which I'm hoping to do one day while at Govberg.

I've tried one on. Its a nice looking sports watch. Its very comfortable, has a quality feel, and seemed like a value in the present price-escalating market.

I've said it before on here, but I really like that one as it's got that "vintage vibe" but obviously with all modern tech. If I was to be ultra-critical (and I've said this before too), the only thing I would personally change if I was the designer is I'd have added a bit of text on the lower half of the dial as there seems like a lot of blank "real estate" there.

But that aside I think it's a superb looking piece that ticks a lot of boxes. If it fits you, I'd go for it!

bit of vintage perspective from me, surprisingly.
not my watch, but had the pleasure to try on the original 1970s Monte Carlo during a lunch meeting with Laurent (forum member Noodia).

won't ask what "modern tech" you get excited about ;

This is a very attractive watch. I'd choose one over a Rolex. There, I can't believe I said it! I am taken by the distinctive design. It works & although I have never seen one before I can understand your coming back to it.

I tried it on a few times and really like it. My only gripe is that with all the painted surfaces on the face, the face looked surprisingly dead in person since it was so one dimensional. Its not so much that it would dissuade me from getting one, but it was a little less impressive once on my wrist.

I like it a lot. I've only tried it on once but it definitely appeals. I found the date a little small, probably because of all of that 'plain' dial around it, although I am not a cyclops fan so prefer it to the original.

Love the retro look coming from Tudor. I realize it's not for everyone but found their selection to be young and fresh. Years ago I looked at the Tudor Heritage Chronograph (original black and orange release) but found my self less interested in it. I didn't take notice of the brand again until they release this version and the Black Bay. There is so much in Chrono Blue and Black Bay that gives you the best of both worlds - tool watch style for their attended purpose and modern reliability. I've had my BB for a few month and it has become a normal wear in my watch rotation. I too do not need another watch but when the time is right, I'll get a Black Bay Blue or Chrono Blue. No regrets here.

I like the Black Bay Blue but I need a date on my watches. I can see what Roff means when he says the date looks small and there is a lot of open space on the bottom half of the dial.

I've seen one in a display case, did not try it on. Liked it a lot in person and in pix I have seen on line. Think it has a great retro vibe. Until the small date was mentioned I did not really notice but yea it looks a bit small given the rest of the watch.

I got to try one on. Spectacular build for the money. Was close many times to pulling the trigger.
