I admire U-Boat - to be able to get the prices that they do for pieces with such low build quality is truly remarkable (even allowing for the considerable discount from list that they sell for)! For me, there are a lot better watches for the money. |

Lol! Roger that. For that much I could probably pick up a new SO and maybe a gently used Chronomat... Yeah I like that idea better! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hi Roff, would you mind to explain the quality differences? Most watches are produced using automated manufacturing techniques, but different brands will apply different levels of tolerance to the output of those automated processes - i.e. how much can a particular part vary from the norm to be considered acceptable. While I have no empirical evidence it is clear from the products in the market place that U-Boat accept much more variation than some other brands which results in uneven case finishing, imperfect dials, etc. The movements are generic and are not finely regulated before being cased up which can lead to huge variance of rate - both from watch to watch and within the same watch in different positions and different power reserves. Additionally, the watches seem to have more mechanical issues than average suggesting issues in the way that the watches are cased up - handling of the movement, conditions when they are cased up, etc. |

Now I'm one step closer to WISdom. ![]() |

I can take them or leave them. Nothing really grabs me, but I do like some of there detailing. The enormous crowns are a giggle but the pushers are interesting. Each to their own and if you buy, then enjoy. |

Wow that looks badass! Made of titanium and brass IP black coated, ceramic bezel? That's really a sick piece. |
