Found this and though some one may be interested? This Is a special hand made watch from Roger Smith made for Great Britain, I am a huge fan of Roger smiths work as well as the late George Daniels. The Dial on this timepiece took 3 months to make and its just stunning, the detail is amazing, I really hope that the government is sensible enough to buy this for a museum. I am also lucky enough that Roger smith sent me some photos of his watches and movements and a nice book about his watches.

Amazing piece Joe, I love the roman numerals. He had a great teacher, but he is one heck of a watchmaker.

Hi Roff couldn't agree more as you said he had a great teacher but he's also a very talented watchmaker, And the numerals are beautiful with the blued steel. I would love to view it

What an extraordinary piece of work. I too am a big fan of both George Daniels and Roger Smith. Roger's story about how he came to watchmaking with George is very interesting and I agree with a lot of his life philosophies such as slowing down and taking life in rather than the hurried existence more present in this day and age. In fact I encourage anyone who's interested to check out his website. I'd really like to own one of his watches one day.

he is such an incredible watchmaker with his skill and knowledge but deep down inside of me I have this sad feeling that after Roger smith has passed on, this knowledge is going to be lost from the uk and I know the government let most of George Daniels pieces get sold of and took away from where they belong this really upsets me and also makes me angry that we can spend lots of money on Art and other project but we are loosing the skill. This is such a beautiful pice not really one I would put on my wrist because Its a bit too Great Britain for me rather a museum pice to show our skill and whats been achieved.
