I'm interested in purchasing a pam114 or pam113 which are the only white dials. Are these white dial watches less desirable? Hence the reason why they only made 2? I understand that panerais hold their value fairly well, can the same be said for the white dial models? I'm looking for something with a white dial to compliment my new superocean heritage 46 chrono black/black

Regards
Michael

The 'purists' will say that a PAM has to be black so relative to other PAMs they are less desirable and that does reflect in resale somewhat, but for the same reason you are also less likely to run across another one. If you like them then go for it!

edit - based on this year's just announced releases white is the new black for Panerai so maybe they'll grow in popularity.

You can also check out the Panerai 523, an in house model that they introduced last year. It's the same movement as the 312.

How do you feel about this... Pam523 or silver dial rolex steel daytona?

While I prefer a black or even brown dial, I quite like the white dials. They aren't as loud as other white dialed watches, still look pretty badass to me.
And I would choose the Panerai over the Daytona every time.

I need a white disl on brown croc because I own a breitling superocean heritage 46chrono black/black on ocean class so I'm looking for something to compliment that rather well.

I'm a big Panerai fan, but the white models do absolutely nothing for me. If resale is a consideration for you, then I'd probably steer clear of the white dials. As Roff said, there are fewer around, but that's probably because they just aren't so popular with the Paneristi.

But if resale is less of a concern, and you like the white dial models, then crack on! You won't see many on anyone elses wrist, so exclusivity is pretty much guaranteed.

Another point to consider is that white-dialed Pams are VERY popular with the ladies. So by association, white Panerais tends to be viewed as more feminine. But as others have said, it's your wrist & wallet -- go for whichever model feels best 'in the metal' on you!
