When I started thinking about my next purchase, I kept coming back to the 5001. The problem was whether to get the blue numbers or the gold numbers. In the end, I kept coming back to the blue numbers and couldn't be happier. I had an Aquatimer 2000 that I sold a couple of years ago to make room for a SubC, but I'm glad to be back in the IWC owners club. I took this picture right after taking it out of the box. I know it deserves better pictures, but this is all I have.

I also can't thank my AD and Forum sponsor enough, Govberg Watches. George Mayer just makes buying a watch too easy.

That is a sharp looking watch. Great call on the blue! Extremely classy, I hope you enjoy it for a long long time.

Right choice in my opinion...blue all the way.

Great looking piece, but as always with these 7 day movements I'll be very interested to know how it's timekeeping holds up. I hope yours is a good one Justin, because looks-wise they're very hard to fault.

I'm hoping mine runs just fine. I know about the troubles you've had with your big pilot and I really don't want to go through that.

Classy looking watch. I agree with the blue decision. I'm not a huge fan of yellow gold typically.
That is a very clean and classy look you've got there. Enjoy!
