I tend to agree with the general sentiment. Great that a JLC won, very worthy, but who would have picked that one at the start…still great fun despite the low turnout and another big thanks to Roff for the hard work! Roffensian wrote: Driver8 wrote: Here endeth the first (and no doubt last) BreitlingSource Greatest Watch In The World competition. Well, never say never, but certainly not any time soon. 24 votes for the final was incredibly disappointing. I had thought about doing some recurring 'poll' type threads - what's your favourite Basel 2014 release, which watch would you blow $100,000 on, etc, and maybe that will generate more interest, it just seems like we are in a 'down' cycle of engagement levels right now for anything but one or two word posts or 'public private conversations' for want of a better term. Those sound like fun polls Roff. When can you get started |

Tim S wrote: Those sound like fun polls Roff. When can you get started Well if, repeat if, I do them Basel seems like a good time to start, but I will make it very clear from the outset that my continued commitment to them is going to be dependent on the number of votes. If a forum of this size can't get 50 - 80 votes then it tells me that there is no interest and I already (willingly) give plenty of time here without additional no value commitments. |

There is a bit of a "wane" lately--which I attribute to Breitling summarily axing some highly thought-of models and the controversy around the Chronomat and Superocean line. It can, and likely will, come back around. Till then, an occasional "mini-poll" could be fun--low stress and maybe more involvement than the "dirty dozen plus ten". Oh, an when you get around to building some pieces, your 22-person design committee stands ready, though you already have a template. Just a service we provide. |

Wow I totally missed out on the last rounds of voting. I just stopped by to see which piece won. My pick! Whoo Hoo! But thanks for putting this together Roff, although I haven't been able to participate as much as I liked to due to work lately. |

Well, I didn't help matters - I missed the finals. Been buried in motion practice (everyone has been ganging up on me - yes, I am assuming victim posture and accept no responsibility). |
