Hey guys,

Got my first watch with a date window. Its not entirely centred and is quite close the edge on the left, is this quite normal? The thing is, if I take a picture it doesn't look so bad because its zoomed in a bit. Looking from eye its annoying me, lol...Don't have the issue with my navi as its the perpetual calendar..

My wife called me a lunatic as she thinks I am being pedantic... maybe she is right? ;)

Well without knowing which watch you have it's pure guess work, but not all watches have the date perfectly aligned. Date wheels are attached to the movement and if the window in the dial isn't perfectly set for the location they will appear off. Additionally the printing of the date wheel may be very slightly off. It likely isn't a big deal.

This would annoy me too, although it's only visible at second sight.

That's not really a 'left' or 'right' issue, because the window is at 6 that's a centring issue and could theoretically be adjusted by a watchmaker. However, because the movement of the date wheel is based on gearing it can't just be adjusted anywhere you want and one 'tooth' over may be slightly to the right. I certainly wouldn't be concerned.
