Hi everyone

I have another problem but I'd like to see your opinions again because I
Am really stuck in the middle on this. Yesterday I found a Datejust 2 in a shop second hand
With Box and papers this is a 2009 model they wanted £4500, and I was thinking of swapping my Explorer for this but my watch is 2012 with box and docs. One thing I would like to ask is about the Rolex oyster lock clasp it
Has on it because their is no safety lock on it is this the old clasp? And dose anyone know if from 2009 to 2013 has their been any changes on the date just 2 over that time that might not be on the older model?

Thank you
Joe :)

Not sure on the model changing over the last few years, but if it were me I would keep the Explorer. Looks better IMO then the Datejust. Plus it's newer.

The only change was that Rolex introduced a smooth SS bezel along with the white gold fluted bezel. I'd make the switch but I need a date on my watch. I love my DJ2.

I really like your DJ2 because the dial looks nice with the steel case.

Personally, I prefer the DJII. I love the looks of those baton markers. If it was the previous 36mm Explorer I, I would say keep it. I tried on the new one a week ago, and just couldn't warm to it for some reason. I have tried on a couple of the DJII models, though, and really quite like them.
Bear in mind, too, as far as value goes: That fluted bezel is white gold, I believe, and is quite an expensive option. I don't know if it's a grand, but pretty close. I think it really gives the watch a beautiful look.

Cheers,
Carl

I love the explorer: such a simple unfussy watch. I'd never go past that.

I'd get the DJII. I need the date and I don't like the short minute hand on the EX.

There is nothing to think about... Get it! I owned a dj2 and it is one of the classiest and comfortable watches I ever owned!
