These watch makers have just come to my attention. I have not been aware of them before today, but there again I don't get out much. They both have some nice pieces in their offer. An interesting British makers is ElliotBrown http://www.elliotbrownwatches.com/ The BLOXWORTH looks reasonably priced with some very fine features and use of matt/satin finishes for that military feel. I believe Autodromo is an American company, but I could be wrong. http://www.autodromo.com/ The Prototipo looks well priced and familiar in some ways. Anyone own one of these, or have been up close and personal? What are they like? |

The Elliot Brown pieces are quite nice..................but why the heck call it the 'Bloxworth'? The Autodromo are nicely retro but not for me........................................'Bloxworth'? Crikey!!! |

Autodromo looks to me like a Paneraiesque marketing effort with some of the secret sauce TAG seems to have lost along the way. Godspeed to them if they succeed in giving it substance... Its a bit artificial now but we all need to beginn somewhere. I could see that working out in the long run. |

I REALLY like the vintage look of some of those Autodromo pieces, but the Japanese mecha-quartz is an instant turn-off for me. I could deal with a Japanese auto (if the price is right), but not the mecha-quartz. Shame really. |

Yes, the only thing Bloxworth conjures up in my mind is a mythical RAF airfield in Kent used by Spitfire squadrons. Or am I letting my imagination get the better of me! ![]() |
