I would like to add a vintage Rolex to my collection & since most of my watches are aviator watches (not by design, just turned out that way, I would like to obtain a 1675 - 1967 GMT. What is more collectible and/or desirable "Pepsi" or "Coke." Also I believe on the original "Pam Am" project the bakelite bezel was red & black - not sure, can someone elaborate? If I find a nice head but no bracelet (NATO), can an Oyster bracelet of the period be procured or links to expand from "Rolex?" Additionally, is there any subtle differences within 1675 - 1967 that makes one more desirable and/or collectable or are they all the same for the given year?
I also like a Red Submariner 1967 but I don't think realistically possible even if I wheel & deal & throw in my IWC Pilot Chrono 3717; so I would really be happy with a 1675 - 1967 GMT. Or, I can just get the new "Black/Blue" Ceramic looks very nice, just missing the romance & history. Any guidance would be appreciated - lastly, I am in no hurry, I just want the 1675 - 1967 GMT to be 100 % correct, while my Omega Speedmaster is very nice, it has a replacement bezel which is not period correct & I just don't want that again.

Not sure about the Pan Am model but if you're referring to the ref. 6542 the bezel was red and blue. Very rare and very hard to find. Prepare to pay for one.
Period correct Oyster bracelets are possible to find, but I find that most people do upgrade their bracelets to a more modern one, which IMO doesn't really detract from the beauty. Most folded link bracelets from that period are so stretched out it doesn't look too great.
Vintage Rolex is a minefield, and as Boogie says the boys over at TRF can probably elaborate on top of my basic knowledge and observations. But find the right one and they sure can be purty. Good luck and keep us updated.
