Hi everyone

Another update It only been a few weeks since the last one but their has been a few things happen. First we got a special visit to the Schaublin lathe factory to have a tour to see how our lathes in the school are made this was very interesting to see how they are manufactured and assembled and they said they have over a million spare parts in stock for their lathes and as we was going round their was a lathe been built for Cartier factory. Also we received our seven movements to work on through out the course this is the minimum requirement of movements that have to be repaired and serviced so theirs a variety of them some of the movements have been used. we also have our own watches to service or repair so I have a few that need servicing hopefully they will be in one pice at the end ;) And we have now started learning the winding and setting mechanism so we have to assemble and oil them on all of the movements and clean all the parts by hand so we learn how to keep everything clean and how to get rid of the dust as you can understand our teachers have to be very strict when It comes to working clean and removing dust so everything is inspected under the microscope.

And as always thank you all for taking the time to read my updates
Joe. :) :)

Hi Thanks and hmmm I would have to say making the winding stems was very interesting I enjoyed that because
their was so many different skills involved in it. But I am really enjoying this second year although we have only just started
its so far been very interesting working on the different movements. :)
