Hi everyone

Not a watchmaking school update this time but yesterday we noticed a rather nice classic watch been released and we all agreed that this would be the watch we would buy and its not very often my watchmaking teacher says he would buy a watch. But I have to agree the new Nomos Lambda is a good looking watch and not just the watch but you will also notice the highly decorated caliber and the blued screws the quality of this in house manufactured caliber is beautiful to me anyway to say its fairly mass produced. And for me to be able to see the movement trough the Crystal case back is a nice touch and something that I appreciate 29 jewels, of which six in polished and screwed gold chatons, twin mainspring barrels, hand-engraved balance cock, screw balance, 21 600 a/h, adjusted in six positions (equivalent to chronometer standards), balance spring Nivarox 1A, swan neck fine adjustment, rhodium-plated three-quarter plate with fine sunbeam polishing, angled and polished edges. They seem to have gone to grate lengths to make this a high quality caliber. And the price in rose gold case is £11800 and I don't think thats too bad for this pice. But I wanted to know what you think of it any thoughts or feeling?

Thanks Joe. :)

Classic Glashutte dress watch, and the Germanss do make very nice dress watches. Nomos is certainly good value for money, although if I were spending GBP12,000 on a watch it wouldn't be that one - though maybe in about 10 years time :-)

Haha yes as you said their is a lot of choice out their for this price. And if I ever had that money for a watch hopefully one day I don't think I could bring myself to purchase this as beautiful as it is. But as you said the Germans are good at making nice dress watches, But I don't know what watch I would get instead of this. :D
