Dear Members, I would like your views on this Omega Chronostop Driver which has being serviced / overhauled by Omega this watch dates from around 1970 and as you will see it was designed to be worn on the inside of the wrist hence the name Driver. The thinking being that you did not have to take your hand off the steering wheel to see the time !! As ever kind regards Walter |

Hi Walter, I have a friend with one of these. Slightly different style, but essentially the same thing. I like them very much and your example looks very nice after the overhaul. Any changes of a movement shot? Omega always have a knack of making great integrated watches. The approach to design is one of the cornerstones of the make in my opinion. Something very satisfying and wholesome with the overall visual appearance. Perhaps they should be using the word 'beautiful' in their advertising. Its also singularly focused for drivers, and that’s one of the things I like most about it. Great watch. |
