Mount Everest - What watch to wear?

Post subject:  Mount Everest - What watch to wear?
Hi All

My Father passed away from a heart attack a few months back, and so in less than a month myself and my Brother in-laws are trekking across the Himalayas and then onwards to Everest base camp, to raise money for The British Heart Foundation.

It should be a fantastic, once in a lifetime experience, and I have pretty much all of the equipment needed..... but am yet to decide on what watch to take with me!

As well as the below, I have a Casio G-Shock, but would rather do it in style! Any ideas on what would be the hardiest/best suited watch from my current collection?

I like the Aerospace. Light, multifunction, I wouldn't think the temperature would affect the electronics. Also like the bright dial of the Avenger unless you would need a chrono, Omega is nice too.

First off I am sorry to hear about the loss of your father.

In terms of a watch since this is a special trip mixed in with huge goal to accomplish, I think the better question to ask is "which watch should you mark this memory with?". I think you go with the one that has the most meaning to you.

Good luck with the trek. That's a serious trip you are about to embark on.

My sincere condolences on your loss, and best of luck on your journey. I would wear the watch that means the most to you, as this will be a journey to remember and the piece you bring will carry significant sentimental value after.

I'm sorry for your loss. I would take the aerospace which is thermo-compensated, light and has muti-functions. Good luck with the journey, and please post photos if possible.

This, in all regards.

Any of the watches will do an admirable job, but which one do you want to look at 20 years from now and have it remind you of your father and the tribute that you paid to him.

Thanks for all of the encouraging comments!

My Aerospace was also a wedding gift from my wife, so will probably go with that. Extra significance...
