I as sitting in ICU this morning keeping a sick friend company, when three docs - an orthopedist, a vascular surgeon and an internist came by one at a time. All three were wearing Omega P.O.s. I felt left out.

I convinced an ER doc friend of mine to get a PO. He loves it.

I was going to buy my doctor friend a Breitling as a thank you, but I ended up getting myself one instead LOL! I noticed a few that I work with wearing Superocean's on rubber straps to work, and also Panerai seems to be more popular among doctors as well.

The PO must be inline with what Doctors consider a great watch. Omega are venerable and its great to see them getting some time in the sun. Never forgotten but maybe, in a shouty world of watches, they get a little overlooked.

How many Doctors are there in the world? Is this a market niche? Could it be like in the early 1900's when Opel Cars were sold to a great deal of Doctors? Affordable, highly reliable and practical.

I would very much like a Speedmaster myself. Classic. How could anyone knock one back if it were in the offing!

Just finished organising my in-laws 1977 SeaMaster repairs. Still a great watch and running beautifully. No problem with parts (even a new case if needs be!)

What more could you ask for?

I certainly see a lot of my friends at work wearing Omegas, they do seem quite popular amongst doctors.

I got a couple of Doctor buddies, one wears a PP Nautilus, the other a PO.Funny thing is the PP owner is 6'4 60 years old, and the PO owner is 3 apples tall in his 30's.....kinda interesting.

In my current ICU there's amazingly a small group of us 'B boys', with my boss, myself and another friend all sporting Breitlings :-)

I went to urgent care last year and my doctor had on a chronometer 44 black eye blue, I had on my navitimer GMT, he asked to try mine on, so we swapped watches for a few minutes.
