Did you seen it:
http://www.******.com/blog/1960s-heue ... er-pricing

http://chronocentric.com/forums/heuer/i ... d;id=64677

If a heavily used small Heuer Autavia costs 25000, - dollar,

how much has an early Breitling Navitimer with the same caliber Valjoux 72 or an early co-pilot from 1953 to cost?

at least 125000, - dollars, what do you think ?

Hi tomwak,

I guess it’s whatever you believe the market price for an Autavia is. If you accept its worth that much in the first place, then I guess anything is possible.

I could not get onto the link, so can't actually see it.

But I do have this piece of land for sale............. :

Cheers.

OMG. :wowzers

Well, someone thought it was worth that much. It must have been very special.

Thank you Tomwak for the update.

The only special was that it was the first year of the Autavia, just like the rare Navitimer from 1954.

Interesting, reminds me of an Oris diver 654KIF that I owned some years ago. I'm astounded at what some pieces fetch these days.

I suppose being the first model run you would expect some higher value, but it’s very hard to see how that’s justified.

Perhaps it was Jack Heuers personal watch! That might add a little more. If it had a previous owner that was infamous or notorious or just plain well known then once again, add a bit more.

No, it was just an anomalous price. As tomwak said, there is nothing special about the watch itself, in fact it's sold for $3,500 twice in the last 5 years. Lots of discussion all over the web about it.

Yes Roff anomalous or manipulated anomalous price, I think so too.
And I think that Antiquorum, after they had manipulated for many years the prices of simple Rolex Daytonas and Dato-Compax to top heights, now they need an other business game and now they want to find a new brand to manipulate up
