I have a Seamaster professional. I haven't worn it for a long long time since I have been wearing my Breitling on a regular bases. I took it out today to wear and it doesn't seem to wind even if i turn the crown? Just curious if thats supposed to happen after long periods of non usage |

No it shouldn't happen, even after being inactive for a while. By the way, do you mean you wind the crown and it just turns without making any sound or offering any resistance, or does it sound/feel like it's winding the watch, but the watch still isn't running? If it's the former, then something has probably broken : if it's the latter, then have you tried giving the watch a little shake once you've wound it up? It may be that the oils have thickened a little through non-use and it may need a little shake to start it up (once it's wound of course). If that doesn't work, then it's probably an AD job I'd say. |

I can hear it winding when I screw the crown but it just doesn't seem to move after. I shook it for a bit and I could hear the inner mechanics working but only for a good 2 seconds and the watch would stop again. |

Hmmmmm, a good wind and a little shake should be more than enough to get it going, so it sounds to me like a trip to your AD is required. ![]() Hope you get it sorted OK. |
