My Crosswind Special is my go to vacation watch. I never liked bringing a cheap watch with me on vacations, but my Navitimer and Speedy Pro weren't really good options due to their low water resistance ratings. Had a nice retired couple from Australia strike up a conversation with me by commenting on it saying ,"Breitling...that's a nice watch." What's your designated vacation watch?...

After checking the details of my travel insurance policy, it was a no brainer. Radio controlled solar G-Shock it was, and the Avenger stayed home safe and sound. Bearing in mind the amount of time we spent in the pool, that was probably a wise decision |

Your Avenger would have been all set to swim in a pool all day long. It's fitted with a helium escape valve for a reason. That being said if something else where to happen with it and your insurance not cover that would be horrible. I usually take any one of my Breitlings with me on vacation. |

Mine would be my CE however, now the Blackbird. Perfect combination of flashy yet practical with a high water resistance of 1,000ft |

For my holiday next week to the Great Barrier Reef it'll be my steelfish: Attachment: small steelfish.jpg For a holiday overseas where I'm worried about security, my faithful and cheap Sekonda Attachment: small sekonda.jpg And for a hiking/trek/outdoor holiday my Emergency Attachment: small e.jpg When I go rockclimbing, it's a cheap G-shock

For vacations at the beach it's the Tissot Sea-Touch, otherwise my Superocean Chrono II (my only Breitling, alas). Of course the SO would be great at the beach too but I'm afraid it would get too many scratches from the coral sand. Or what are your experiences about this?

One of my fav killing-time activity during holidays is to take pictures of my watch -- and personally I don't think my gshock would be as photogenic...

Not worried about the water, but the poolside environment can be harsh, especially slip-resistant concrete pool-edging when clambering in and out. The other catch was that if it were lost/stolen etc, it would only be covered if i produced the original purchase receipt, and as I acquired the watch from the forum for sales I don't have it so would be looking at a total loss
