Poking around the watchrecon website, I noticed some LÜM-TEC watches for sale. Some models are equipped with Swiss movements, others with Japanese - most are priced under $1K. The company promotes a customer-input approach unlike larger, more established watch makers. Anyways, they certainly have some watches that look cool both by day and night.

Are there any first-hand accounts from members on life with LÜM-TEC?

Have a look via the search facility and there are a few. E.g. I faintly recalled

Some favourable opinions, but just the single report on a pre-owned one from Time Bandit. Hopefully, he's got the new one he ordered earlier this year and he'll do a review. I'll send a PM.

This review of mine might help -

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=23603

I know a lot of people bang on about Lum Tec not being the most original of brands with their designs (yes, this one of mine was no doubt "inspired" by panerai), it's still a great watch. And I'm a huge fan of tungsten as a material.

Wow, thanks Driver! That review was as solid as the tungsten in the watch!

They have a new set of watches on pre-order now that look tempting.
