Just thought I would ask for comments on the latest Nomos range.

Nomos won an award this year at the Golden Hands Awards in Germany, and these watches have such Bauhaus qualities I think I can see why. I personally think the Tangente would make a great morning watch, but I am also compelled towards the Tetra. Simple, clear and well resolved.

I have never been a lover of decorated movements however, as I find them irrational. Thankfully, that is only viewable on the back of the watch. Does not stop me liking these pieces very much though.

Whats the opinion of members?

I just love the Zurich World Time, fascinating dial layout.

Thanks for that! There was a link to order a free catalogue. Those pieces are simple yet elegant.
I like the Tetra myself.

I've been trying to find a good deal on the Orion for about a year now. They seem to hold their value very well so I'm having a hard time.
Great watches.

I just received the new catalogue and price list straight form their factory. Prices range from the mid 1500-5200. The biggest size case the have is their world time piece and its only 41mm,
Nice watches and good prices, but too small for my tastes.

Yep, I agree. A bit small, but well priced for a hand assembled watch. Simple and elegant. Always a good combination.

I believe that the award it won this year in Germany was the first year that top billing went to primarily German watches in just about all categories. Some might say, well it was a German awards ceremony after all, but I am also led to believe that the awards normally go to Swiss watches. Perhaps this year is not that different to previous, or its an aberration, but there is nothing like local support.

I hope they do well, as I think they desrve it.
