After much research and deliberation on various watches I finally decided on the Omega Planet Ocean with the new in-house 8500 movement. This Breitling Source forum was very helpful and informative. I thank you all for the so many posts I have read without getting too active myself. Special thanks to Justin for referring me to George at Govberg where I bought my watch. I am very excited about my big purchase and have attached (hopefully) a simple iphone picture of my watch. I'm sure I will take better pics later with my camera but this will have to do for now. I went with the black dial with silver numerals in a size 42mm. Very comfortable in my opinion.

A must have no brainer. Enjoy it with good health.

I've had my PO2500 ETA for 8 years now and still runs like clockwork. I blindly trust their 8500 in house, but wouldn't mind checking their reliability stats, just for kicks.

That's a great watch, and quite the stunner. Let us know how your 8500 keeps time, the consensus here has been really good overall.

Update: I love this watch. It does keep great time. It looks fantastic and I still find myself staring at it. The curve of the bracelet is a sharp look.
I can see how se may find it a bit heavy because it is, but I personally like the weight of it. Feels like I'm wearing a mans watch. It fit very comfortably. I am more than pleased with this watch.
I do need to contact George again though, now that I think of it. Never sent me the second card that's supposed to come in the box. I have the warranty card but not the other one.

Anyhow, this site has been great for reading and learning about watches.
