Going on around a month with my Aqua Terra and I am amazed at the accuracy it has maintained. I have checked against an atomic clock app just about every day an I have yet to see the watch fall out of +/- 1 second. I am not even an accuracy geek, but I have to say that is damned impressive |

Agreed. I have an 8500 powered piece and I don't remember when I last adjusted it. With the hour skip quick set that allows for the twice yearly time change without changing the minute hand it wasn't when the clocks went forward in March, so I don't think that I have corrected it at all this year, and while I don't monitor to the second the minutes are still spot on. |

No question about it, the three 8500's I owned were all spot on. I really like the AT nice pick up! |

I'm sure some of you knew I would chime in here. My AT is always spot on as well. My Breitling on the other hand is a speed demon... |

And other vote here for the deadly accuracy of the 8500. I have one 8500 equiped piece and I can't remember the last time I adjusted it. I reckon mine is pretty much spot on. Also, a friend of mine owns an 8500 AT and he too has been nothing but impressed by it's accuracy as well. He's far more anal about the accuracy of his mechanical watches than I am, and he reckons his is in the region of +3 secs a month! Pretty incredibly for a mechanical watch. As a movement, it seems generally very reliable too. Omega have done great things with that movement IMO. |

Indeed. They're getting a lot right at the moment. |

My 8500 PO is the least accurate of the three watches in my rotation. But that's not a criticism, it sits around +1.6 seconds a day on average, which is good enough for me! |

Looks like to overwhelming opinion is the 8500 is an accurate and durable movement. As of today my AT is synced exactly with the atomic clock it was set against over 6 weeks ago. Pretty impressive to me |

It actually beats faster than the 8500 at 28,800, so everything else being equal it's got a good chance of being deadly accurate as well. |
