What’s your thoughts on the Ball Red Label Chronometer. Seems to be some comparisons out there with the Omega AT. There is a 40 & 43mm version, and COSC certification on the 2824 movement. http://www.ballwatch.com/html5/index.ph ... =1&mid=601 Thoughts anyway. |

What's not to like? Nice clear dial, date and day, well proportioned and well designed case and a trusted name. That said, Ball watches lack something for me. I once tried on one of their chronos and was surprised how uncomfortable the bracelet felt and how the sharp lugs dug into my wrist even though the bracelet was not tight fitting. When I look at the price of these watches I always consider what I could get for just a few more pounds. I don't think the comparison with Omega holds up but that's just my opinion. If I had to have one good watch then it certainly wouldn't be a Ball and they're too pricey for me to be worn as a beater so I'd prefer a Breitling or an Omega over a Ball. |

Biggest problem with Ball for me is the tritium lume - sure it's kinda / sorta good for around 20 years or so but it has already begun to fade before you buy it. Other than that the quality has improved, but it ain't no Omega AquaTerra. |

From a looks/dial point of view I can surely see the Omega AT in it. From a personal point of view I'd take one Omega over 5 of the Balls. |

The AT has an in house co axial movement, white gold hands and markers, and the list goes on and on.... no comparison besides ball copying the dial. |

the watch itself looks nice but for the price i think i would pass. this is JMO but owning a piece like this is like a stop loss. it scratches the itch for a bit but its not truly a must wear. personally i would save the money |

The more I wear my AT the more I fall in love with it. I do like the design of most ball watches, with the exception of some of the numeral designs, an I recommend the brand as an option to friends who are looking to stay in the sub $2500 range. That being said the Red Label is no substitute for an Aqua Terra |
