Hello folks, I am new here but have read so many of your very informative posts. Although the SuperOcean Heritage is what brought me here I think I have settled on the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 8500. Who knew I'd find so much info on omega here?

With all the experience here, has anyone seen the White bezel on White dial version is person? I stopped by the AD but they didn't have one in stock to compare. (Ill have to go to a boutique) It is amazing how different even great photos online can be from real life. Originally I wanted to move away from the black but it really looks nice in person. I'm just wondering if the white on white is geared more towards the ladies since I haven't read any reviews on it.

Also as many of you have stated, the 45mm does feel better than I thought it would. Ill probably still prefer the 42.

Thanks for the wealth of input and information so far. This has been a great resource.

I personally think the white dial/bezel combo looks more feminine on the white strap as opposed to the bracelet, but that's just my opinion, it's going to be your choice and it should be what you feel most comfortable with.

Rule one of watch-buying that. It is indeed amazing. Even high-end manufacturers often use website images which appear to be touched-up representations of watches rather than high-quality photos. I've known watches I was absolutely sold on which I instantly disliked in the flesh - and watches which I never looked twice at in the catalogue but which arrested me in the shop.

The white strap is certainly feminine and the smaller version I think is labeled lady's watch. I saw pics of the white on the steel bracelet which looks nice. But seeing how different the other ones were from their pics I'll be interested to how it looks in person.

Speaking of being sold on a watch, I was sold on the Super Ocean Heritage blue/blue. In person the color and texture was just not the same. I liked that with white face so that's maybe why I like the PO in white. We'll see.
