I saw this piece a couple days ago, very interesting for sure. This seller also has a WWI German pocket watch I've been eyeing.

If you mean the Omega then you have to ask yourself why a WWI watch has a WWII plane on the dial.

A lot of very suspect items from this seller.

It's an IWC. I also have no knowledge of vintage or antique watches but at first glance was really cool. Do you know if this is a correct piece?

Actually there is only a picture of the case, no dial or movement shots, so I probably would have passed on this anyways.

There are plenty of shots of everything. Looks like a real pocket watch and dial, no way in heck it started life in that case.

Re the IWC: The case has been made recently for this type of seller. Storm trouper is a WWII adage.
Some of these movements are likely just old pocket watch movements that have been engraved to suit the current market.
I would be very cautious.

Thanks for the heads up. I'd like to buy a nice antique pocket watch, but only when I find the right one and the price is right. Nothing I will rush into..
