I follow Anish's feed on Instagram. Indeed he has some great scoops on some amazing pieces. A consummate gentleman too.

Anyone see that "Platinum" Rolex Datejust? Talk about rare.

The best part of that whole thing for me was the "Still wrapped in plastic".

I know what you are thinking, that means it was never worn.

I lived in the Middle East for some time, and I've seen plenty of cars with 100k on the odometer that still have the factory plastic wrapping on the seats.

Some very nice pieces I will admit.

I'm sure I've seen sofas in that fabric.

No, you're thinking of Camouflage fatigues. By the way, what were the watches that were on display? Did I miss anything?

Great watches, but kind of a waste if you ask me. Watches are ment to be worn and enjoyed no matter how rare. I full overhaul and they are as good as new. I dont care if I had a LE 1of1 I'm still wearing it.

yeah in most cases where a watch is 50k and under wearing it as a daily and sending it in for an overhaul would be no big deal. some of these watches are museum pieces. especially those pateks. i dont think the "tool watch" mentality could apply to some of those pieces.
