Tonight I had a chance to join a Vianney Halter presentation of his latest watch presented by The Hour Glass -- a major AD chain here in Singapore.
Mr. Halter is not only an innovative watchmaker and an artist, in person he is a very approachable gentleman with a great sense of humor.
There were of course earlier Vianney Halter pieces in circulation, like the Antigua:

There were of course many other amazing & incredible watches in attendance, but the occasion does not feel like one I can comfortably ask strangers if I can take pics of their watches... Too, I was only wearing my DSSD which in that room felt positively G-Shocky! Lol!
Anyways, Mr. Halter has considered retiring from watchmaking in 2011. Then one day he caught some episodes of Deep Space Nine on TV, which rekindled his old love of Star Trek, and suddenly a spark formed in his mind for a "four dimension watch for deep space voyagers" -- the Deep Space Tourbillon by Vianney Halter:
The watch is a 46mm Titanium case with a 10mm sapphire dome which showcased the incredible TRIPLE axis tourbillon right in the center of the watch.
'Time' is of course the fourth dimension -- represented by curved blue hour & minute hands on the peripheral of the watch dial.

Alas, at SGD$300K, this is probably the only chance I'll ever have of wearing it!
Oh did I mention Mr. Halter has a great sense of humor? His presentation was peppered with photoshopped images from Star Trek, Star Wars & all the classic sci-fi flicks like this...
