That must be for insurance. The starting bid is just under $1.7 million US ![]() Patek Philippe Celestial Tourbillon Repeater http://cgi.ebay.com/Patek-Philippe-Celestial-Tourbillon-Repeater-5002_W0QQitemZ230287498570QQihZ013QQcategoryZ31387QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem |

![]() This is one hell of a rare watch - the market for it is going to be very small, and the serious buyers will know that it's going to be on eBay. My guess is that this is so specilised that the seller doesn't see the need to pay the exorbitant fees for Antiquorum because they won't attract any more potential bidders than the watch itself. |

I think it is ironic that it comes with a 2 year warranty and they take returns within 5 days. I would think for $1.7mil that it should have a lifetime warranty and a no return policy ![]() |

Well the person that can afford a $1.7 million dollar watch probably has quite a few more watches, cars, houses, companies etc... gee I wonder how much you need to have to be able to pull the trigger on it ![]() |

Dear me..........., it's too small, it's a manual wind and it only beats at 21,600. It's rubbish!!! I do like the box though. ![]() <OK so I'm kidding - it's beautiful> |

Shoot, forget the box. For $1.7mil, it should come with it's own house. Then, when someone says "Nice house, who lives there?", you could say "My watch" ![]() |

It's so funny, that you could be at a supermarket in flip-flops and a t-shirt wearing a two million dollar watch and the average person wouldn't even know it ![]() |

You make a good point. Probably one of the only situations in life where you could walk around with something so unbelievably expensive and absolutely nobody would have a clue. Hey, I just figured that the annual insurance coverage will run at least $20k. You could buy a few Lings EVERY year.... Park that thought for a moment. If you can not only afford, but also want a $1.7mil watch then you probably thing of Breitling like a Citizen. Did I just say that? ![]() |

$10k to ship it out here ![]() This is by far the most expensive thing I've ever seen on the bay. It is very nice though. I might have to show this link to a mate of mine next time he shows me his Calatrava again. ![]() |

Lots of pictures of a box but only a stock photo of the watch. I'm keeping my money in my wallet on this occasion ![]() |
