Absolutely incredible talent. I'm completely in awe of that. I've built a couple of bits of furniture in the past from scratch back in my college days and that can be frustrating enough, so working with wood on the scale of a wristwatch is astonishing.

I've seen this guy's work a couple of times before, and it really is very cool. The durability is pretty good because of the woods and treatment that he uses, but the problem is that you can't get the fine tolerances in wood that you can in metal. The article references it, but the accuracy isn't great - out by minutes a day and they need to be wound multiple times per day.
