Yesterday I was at Baselworl. I was lucky enough to get an invitation from my AD to accompany him to Basel with my wife and another couple. He led us through this impressively huge exhibition.
- I have seen the new (Super)Avenger II models in person and the look really good. Even the font on dial and bezel is well readable ;) The Diver Pro III strap looks great on those watches.
- We visited a small Swiss Manufacture called Antoine Martin. They produce slow running calibers which run a 1 Herz! Nice pieces for sure. It was interesting to talk to their chief engineer about some technical details.
- Then we visited Maurice Lacroix where we got a hands-on on the brand new Squelette limited edition with inhouse movements. We also tried on the new Ponto models and the (also brand new) Seconde Mysterieuse. It was all very impressive.
All in all Baselworld was a great experience for me, a peek "behind the scenes".

Sounds like you had a great time. My feet would have killed me by days end. I am no good at Expos.

Whats your secret in getting an invite from an AD? Do you buy a lot of Breitlings from him each year? :)

Yes, it was a great day. Well, my feet were glad when the day was over.
I think I was just lucky to get the invitation - Aehm well, it also might have something to do with the purchase of some jewellery for my wife lately 8) My AD is not a major player here so he takes good care of his customers.

Well, that is a very enlightened AD. :lingsrock:

That’s how you build business relationships too, and its good he realises the opportunity that type of entertainment will bring. Probably the jewellery helped as well.
