I've got a subscription for a popular weekly magazine (popular at least in the german part of Switzerland). This week they have an add-on magazine called "montres passion", probably because of the impending Baselworld. I found the magazine quite interesting to read.

Of course I skimmed through the pages, eager to see or read something about Breitling. Alas - almost nothing at all. Just a very short mention in an article about chronograph watches and one picture of the new transocean in the "selected watches" department... That's not much for a 90 pages magazine.

Yes, trade mags seem to pick up on what a theme for a major Expo will be. Placement dollars help and the general buzz about makers making waves probably takes priority for things like Baselworld. Never mind, perhaps because of the lack of exposure for Breitling they should have named the magazine "some montres passion".

I see from the open page that Panerai got a mention! That should tell us something. :lingsrock:

Especially as they are not a part of Baselworld.

Yep. As I say, placement dollars help.
