I have wanted a Big Pilot for some time. A couple of years ago for Christmas/Holidays my girlfriend new how badly I wanted one but couldn't afford so she gave me this Chocolate Big Pilot.

My Girlfriend was very sweet (no pun intended) and I still got a very nice gift a semi-professional Nikon Camera.

But today my dreams were finally realized when on my way to pick up an Omega Proplof, I saw this and picked up an IWC Big Pilot 5002 - 01 instead.

I was still in the parking lot with a smile from ear to ear when the above picture was taken. The Android picture is not of the best quality sorry. Will try to post better pictures soon.

Cheers,

Enezdez

Great story and a damn fine pickup. If my wrist size could support a BP, I'd have one too. Wear it in good health.

Very nice, and hopefully more accurate than Driver8's BP / wind machine.

Many congratulations indeed. I had the 5004 BP, but I actually always preferred the look of the 5002. It was only the lure of the slightly faster beating movement in the 5004 that made me buy that one instead. (That isn't a 5002 "Transitional" is it?). But despite the well-documented issues I had with mine, I still think the BP is one of the most stunning watches ever made.

Really hope it's a good one for you.

Very nice pick up. I am also a member of the 5002 model fan-club.

Thank You All For Your Kind Words!

Driver, I felt the same, they had a pre-owned 5004 too but in the end I went with the 5002 & no it's not a transitional - it's a slow-beater.

I had the watch maker check before, I walked out.

Thank Again All!

Cheers,

Enezdez
