Yes, here is my BIG BLUE BEATER. I believe it (Lum Tec Eurozilla) came out in 2009 in a limited number of 50, along with a white and black dial that didn't have the Romans. As I said in a post a while back I'm on the pre order list for a new Lum tec, but a couple weeks ago I was browsing some classified adds and seen this for sale for about $400. I wanted another blue dial watch, and thought the case was pretty cool, so figured what the heck and bought it. To be honest I sort of expected to get it and shake my head and tell myself I have to stop buying cheap watches I only kinda like, and then sell a month later... but to my surprise I think this thing is kick a$$. :D It measures like 50mm, but is as comfortable as my lings, and I love the shade of blue on the dial. I think at even twice the price I'd be just as happy, and what might be the best part is I think the one I have ordered will be great for a $800 watch.

I have no doubt some will look at this as a big disaster, but if you're a SA wearing type and want something that's big, cheap, comfortable, and looks pretty good that you don't have to worry about, one of these might be for you.

I like! The strap with the blue stitch is great!

I bought a Marathon JSAR as my beater - to go where I don't want my SA to go!

The strap is a little firm, but still wears decent. Hard to ask for more given the price point.

Not a disaster at all! Just a great "beater" watch. Love that case, BTW how thick is it?
The lugs are nice and wide, and that strap looks amazing with that case. The dial is great as well. Interesting hue. I guess it's a big, simple "clunker" :D.
Interesting how the strap fits into the sides of the case as well.
It looks like it fits your wrist perfectly, hard to believe that it's 50mm. There is still space between the ends of the case/lugs and the edges of your wrist.
Well done!

Cheers,
Carl

I've come very close to buying Lum Tec several times. Not that model which I would have to wear on my calf! But what really is the risk when you're gambling under a grand? M Auto appeals to me. Not sure about a 24/24 bracelet though. I have a couple pieces now under a grand that appeal to me both for fit and finish and the "giggle factor" of price. On the other hand I went through several bad "experiments" to find some that pass muster.

The case seems a bit of an illusion because it's not much different than my Seawolf, but I never would have imagined that seeing the pics online. For the record I think it's 48mm without the crown.

I think I'll make it my gym watch as it fits and feels better than the large G-shock I usually wear.

Here's a review, same case.

I too have been on a bit of a watch journey the last few years, but have become a little better at picking out ones that will stay around. Chances are I'll be sticking to the low end for quite a while, so there very well might be another Lum Tec in my future even on top of the one I have on pre order.

Since becoming familiar with the brand, this is the one that sings to me the most. Should I ever see one for sale in the Spring when tends to be my watch buying season I would have to go for it.

Wow looks cool. You definitely have the wrist shape and size to pull it off.

I'm working on the arm too. :) I could have rocked this fairly well on the 28-year-old one, but with over 10 years away from the gym, the 41 year-old me still needs a little work. Watches actually helped me get back to weights because ever since I bought my first ling I thought how damn good it would have looked back in the day.... so it's time to go back to the future! :lingsrock:
