But sadly not for a while. Just ordered one of these, Bremont altitude forum special edition limited to 30pcs. I must say its very refreshing to see that (in my opinion) a high end watch company will take the time to listen to what a forum has to say and build a new piece specifically for them - breitling, take note. They should be shipping in June / July time so ill be sure to post some pics when it arrives, mine will be number 13/30 and I went for the stainless version to component the dlc bremomt I already have. So, what so you think, did the forum do a good job? Here’s a run down of the watch features: A unique anthracite dial with ‘professional’ style dial design featuring a military inspired mascot at 6H Yellow second hands and numerals which are directly influenced by the Bremont MB I watch Bremont Trip-Tick® Case design made from hardened stainless steel and featuring an anthracite barrel Exhibition caseback with black coloured rotor Each watch will contain the serial prefix: AF ## / 30 The watch will come with two straps: A leather and military style Nato. Customers will be able to choose Grey, Black or Vintage Black leather straps ![]() ![]() Another great bit, a portion of the profits from every watch is going to a chariot called walking with the wounded, who help and support ex military personnel. |

I like that a lot. Would be interested in the design process and how involved members were to try and help us with future approaches. |

Thanks Roff, can't wait to get it on my wrist. It's not as busy a forum as this is, so all interested members were canvasses for a wish list, common themes were drawn up and then put to bremont for consideration. This is what they came up with based on the wish list. It hasn't kept everyone happy, however I like it, and the watch sold out within 24 hrs of being announced. I'd say that's a success, it must be good for their margins too, no ad mark up and retail price straight to Bremont. |

Looks great! I'm not too familiar with their watches? What are the custom features? |

What dyou mean by custom? Unique to the brand, or just this piece? |

I like that; and I like what I've read of their ethos. I got a catalogue through the post the other day, and took a good look at the ALT1 range. |

I love this watch. Felix is a great touch, although a bit lost on the face. Needs a bit of explaining too. As all things designed by committee, its an amalgum. Works well under the watchful eyes of Nick and Giles English, no doubt. But I would not be that interested in something designed by members. You have to take into account the tastes of others. Would be better to have a free hand as a designer and then take your chances that the market will like it. |

Very nice. I'm still saving my pennies for the day we can get a Breitlingsource LE from Breitling. Longshot? Probably. But a boy can wish. |

Congrats jimbob! I also am member of the alt1tude forum but passed on this SE. It's a nice looking piece but just didn't quite excite me enough I guess to make the commitment. I also am anxious to see what they come out with at Basel. |

Very nice indeed! Thanks for posting. Bremont is a watch that I know very little about, and your post encouraged me to go on their website. They have some very impressive models. I'm afraid it will be rather a long wait for you. The LE you are getting is one of the nicest. I am rather curious about that yellow second hand with the "bumble bee" effect at the end, though. It reminds me a bit of the pics I have seen about the upcoming Omega Anti-Magnetic model. The second hand has such an effect as well. I shall have to do a bit more hunting on the Bremont forum when I have the time, as the second hand is related to another model. I see on the forum they have a 37mm model as well. More my size of watch. I really like the bezel operation on these, via the crown at 4 o'clock! I like the whole idea that it is designed through the forum, and also where the profits are directed. Cheers, Carl Just an edit, as the Bremont website answered my question about the second hand: "Inner soft iron anti-magnetic Faraday cage to protect movement." Very interesting indeed. Sort of like the Rolex Milgauss concept. Now I see why it has a steel caseback. The MB1 is a very interesting watch indeed!! |
