I think that you should do some more research on Invicta and Eyal Lalo before you consider buying one. If you still want to give money away at that point I'll PM you my address and you can mail a cheque.

At $450 it would indeed be cheap for a minute repeater.

However, it is actually priced at $400,000 and there are only three produced each year.

There are 3 Seiko Credor Spring Drive Minute Repeaters produced each year, priced at $400,000 each.

Quartz, produced by Citizen - http://www.campanola-timepieces.com/collection.asp. The most bang for the buck minute repeaters out there.

We`ll agree to differ on Campanola Designs, but then I`m not a fan of Invicta designs either!

Patek minute repeaters cost considerably more than $100,000.

Wow, definitely a case of "each to their own" - I personally think Citizen's efforts with the Campanola line is absolutely superb. They may be quartz, but the level of complication, finish and design makes these superb pieces IMO. But if the design doesn't do it for, there's nothing you can do.

Well bear in mind that CivilLawyer thought that a $400,000 watch cost $450 and he liked the Invicta, so not hugely surprising that his tastes differ from yours.

I actually watched some of that Invicta video the OP linked to. It was laughable. The best part was when the Invecta rep said the watch looked like a Breguet.

Really, an Invicta looking like some other watch that costs a lot more money . . . no way. This is news to me.
